Psalm 33:1-3
Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous ones; praise from the upright is beautiful.
Praise the LORD with the lyre; make music to Him with a ten-stringed harp.
Sing a new song to Him; play skillfully on the strings, with a joyful shout.
As God's children, it is our delight to offer Him our very best in praise and worship. The
music ministry of Second Baptist exists to exalt Christ to the body of believers, and to present
Him to those who do not know Him. We believe that God inhabits the praises of His people
(Psalm 22:3), so we joyfully prepare for worship each week.

Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!
Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.
As we faithfully sing GodÃs praises, we desire to grow deeper in love with Him and learn
to praise Him with excellence. If you know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, and if God has
called you to serve Him in this ministry, we invite you to join us.
Our worship choir leads in praise and worship weekly at all Sunday morning services.
Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:15pm. Additional rehearsals are
scheduled to prepare for special events, such as Christmas Worship Celebration, Easter, and
other seasonal events and concerts. No audition is required, and you do not have to know how
to read music to participate. Wednesday rehearsals begin with a brief joint rehearsal time with
the praise band in the worship center from 7:00 to 7:15, and then continue in the choir room.
Our praise band accompanies our choir and praise teams for all worship services and
special events. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm to 7:15pm in the worship
center. Auditions are required, and can be arranged by contacting the music office.
